No Time Like Now

I am writing this blog just for you – my wonderful, intelligent, creative journalism students. Every day, I feel proud to be your mentor. You always amaze me with your ideas, your curiosity, and your ability to see stories where others see only facts. You have what it takes to shine as journalists.

But let’s be honest—sometimes a little procrastination gets in the way! Trust me, I understand. Many of us struggle with starting work, especially when the task feels big or challenging. Yet remember, your creativity needs space and time to grow. If you wait too long, you might miss the chance to let your great ideas come alive.

Here is my advice: Do not aim for perfection in your first draft. Just begin. Write whatever comes to your mind. Share your thoughts on the paper. Once you start, you will realize your mind is full of unique views no one else has to offer. You can always edit and improve your work later.

Remember, journalism is not just about deadlines and news. It’s about telling important stories and making a difference. Don’t let small delays steal your chance to shine. I believe in each of you. You are talented, thoughtful, and ready to inspire others with your words.

Let’s keep moving forward together. Let your creativity flow, and start today. The world needs your voice!

With pride and encouragement,
Your Mentor
